My name is Justin Carpenter and I a part-time analog photographer with a focus on portraiture and dynamic events. Everything you see is either 35 mm or medium format film captured on a variety of vintage cameras.

What began as an exercise in delayed gratification to offset a fast-paced lifestyle has become a passion. I find that the limitations of film spur creativity and allow for more engagement with a scene or moment, while delivering a rich color pallette. I do my best to edit my work minimally as I believe imperfections ground us in a world increasingly dominated by the uncanny, curated worlds of social media and artificial intelligence.
